Tips: How to prevent Dis-ease

  1. Avoid causative factors.
  2. Healthy functioning immune system. This starts with having a proper diet for your body, regular exercise and sleep. Ayurveda says that we each have a unique constitution. This must be considered to give proper diet and lifestyle advice.
  3. Do not participate in unhealthy activities: over indulgence, lethargy, poisons and mindset contribute to dis-ease. Mind body and spirit must be in balance for one to be considered healthy.
  4. How do you respond to illness? This key element gives us clues to how your body will respond to immune compromising situations.
  5. Considering all above factors, Ayurveda tells us that healing will vary from person to person, especially if there are chronic diseases present.
  6. Isolation and inactivity create stagnation of proper body function and depression. Intoxicants and constant reliance on medication suppress natural body functions.
  7. Clean your mind: Meditate regularly.
  8. Make time to be in nature.
  9. Unplug daily. Discontinue use of all devices at least one hour before bedtime.
